The Gatari Date Center (GDC) is a virtualization platform that provides customers with affordable cloud based products and services. These services include Web Hosting and Dedicated Virtual Private Servers (Windows and UNIX).

 

This page provides a transparent overview of the operational status of your servers as well as our systems.

 

On rare occasions, when visiting your website you may see this page. This may be for several reasons; there is a technical issue, we are busy updating your code, non payment etc. if this happens, please don’t hesitate to get in touch using the normal channels of communication.

Gatari Data Center (GDC) Nodes are bare-metal servers with powerful Intel® Core™ i7 processors, SSDs and Enterprise HDDs optimized for sustained use. We will be adding more nodes (including Xeon) as demand grows.

Downtime is inevitable, but how much is acceptable?

Our uptime target for production servers is 99%. This allows time for us to backup, update and reboot your server. There are a lot of moving parts and technical issues do occur. It is unrealistic to guarantee 100% uptime – even Google experiences downtime on occasion.

The Production Servers (Managed) table contains uptime data for several Virtual Private Servers (VPS’s). These are Live / Production Servers within the Gatari Data Center.

They are provisioned and are managed by Gatari.

These are powerful servers without the stress of administration. While you are focusing on your customers we will be looking after your servers.

Optimisation, configuration, updates and backups are all taken care of.

A production server is used to deploy and host live websites and services.

These servers normally host web applications that have undergone extensive development and testing before being validated as production ready.

We sometimes refer to a production server as a live server or a PRD Server.

The Development Servers (Managed) table contains uptime data for non production or staging servers. In other words these servers do NOT require 99% uptime or continuous monitoring.

This is the first place you should check if you are not able to access your development environment.

If the status is “Offline” or “Paused” the server has probably been powered down intentionally.  Please get in touch with Gatari Support and request the server to powered up.

Clients often request a development server while doing R&D in order to avoid adversely affecting the performance or stability of a live (production) server.

Development servers are sometimes powered down intentionally when dev work has been paused or completed.

It is important to keep in mind that we can not keep development server disk images indefinitely as they consume valuable resources.
Server Response Time (SRT) is the amount of time it takes for our monitoring system to receive a response from your server.

According to Google’s PageSpeed Insights, server response times should be under 200ms.

The SRT’s on the left are not an indication of how your web sites or applications are performing but rather how fast the server is responding. We provide more detailed metrics for individual websites on request.
